Vegan Cheddar Cheese Sauce #2

I love creating different cheese sauces! It's so much funny playing with flavors to create another flavor that you once remember that was so tasty. Here is another vegan cheese sauce recipe. It's slightly different than the last one. This one has no peppers in it. So this would be good for people who don't like peppers in their food. This would make a good mac-a-cheese sauce and much more saucy dishes!
Vegan Cheddar Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
1 block tofu (14 oz)
1/2 cup raw cashews**
1 cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
4 tbsp tapioca flour
1/2 cup coconut milk unsweetened
1/2 of a lemon juice
1/2 cup green olive juice
pinch turmeric
1 1/4 tsp sea salt
Directions:
1. In a high powered blender, blend all ingredients until completely smooth.
**If you don't have a high powered blender (like vita-mix, blentec, etc.) then you should boil your cashews for 15 minutes until soft. Then blend.
This recipe is super easy and very tasty! Add it to your favorite pasta dishes! Try to add about 2 tsp liquid smoke for a smoky flavor!
