5 Ingredients - Best Gluten Free Bagels

Updated: Dec 8, 2021

This is a very easy recipe! It's only 5 ingredients that makes really good bagels or hamburger buns! I've used this to make really good sandwiches and they toast just great as well!

They are not only gluten free, but they dairy free, nut free, and grain free. Paleo friendly.

You can flavor these bagels anyway you like it or just eat them plain. I've used these to make BBQ pulled pork, curry chicken, cold deli meat sandwiches, or tuna melts! Endless possibilities!

Best Gluten Free Bagels

Dairy free - Nut free - Grain free

Ready in 35 minutes

Yields: 6 bagels

Ingredients

2 ¾ cup cassava flour

1 ¾ cup water

3 yolks or 2 eggs

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp sea salt

Preparation

Preheat oven at 400F

Parchment lined baking sheet

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together all the wet ingredients until completely blended. Then add the dry ingredients, until smooth. Let the dough firm up a little bit before scooping them.

  2. On a parchment lined baking sheet, by using a cookie scoop (your size is your preference) scoop out the dough into rounds.

  3. By using your finger or thumb, poke a hole in the middle of the dough and slowly make a hole to shape your bagel.

  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds or herbs and sea salt. Bake for 30 minutes. Let them cool before cutting in half.

Tip:

To retain freshness, I recommend storing them in a zip lock bag and placing them in the freezer. If you keep them in the fridge, they will dry out too fast.

Then just pop them in the oven at 400F for about 10 minutes to refresh them. Enjoy!
