This is a simple recipe and very versatile. You can make pizza, flat breads, and even tortillas out of this easy and simple recipe. Plus, it only requires 5 ingredients!
I've made tacos, pizza, gyros, and sandwiches out of this recipe. You can probably make calzones or whatever you desire.
It's completely, gluten free, nut free, dairy free, egg free, and grain free! In my opinion, it's the closest thing you're going to have to wheat flour. The texture and flavor is really great!

Gluten Free Flatbread or Pizza Crust
Dairy Free - Nut free - Grain free - Vegan
Yields: 5 flatbreads
Ready in 30 minutes
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup water
2 tbsp olive Oil
½ tsp sea salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 cups cassava flour
Preparation
Preheat cast iron skillet to medium to high heat.
**Turn on the stove when you have your dough already made.
In a mixing bowl, combine the water and olive oil. Stir in the cassava flour, baking powder, and sea salt. Mix until it forms a dough. Let it sit for about a minute to thicken up.
Make 5 small round balls of dough. Roll the dough out (abt 1/4”) on parchment paper. Or if you want it thicker you don’t have to roll it as thin.
Have your cast iron skillet or any skillet on medium to high heat. Spray your pan with a non stick spray.
Take the whole parchment with the rolled out dough on it and flip upside down on to your skillet. Press it down gently and carefully lift the parchment off the dough.
Grill the dough on each side for a few minutes.
Optional: brush on olive oil and sprinkle some fresh herbs, sea salt, and cracked black pepper. Enjoy!
Tip for making Pizza:
Preheat oven 400F
Parchment lined or greased with cornmeal on a pizza pan.
Mix as directions above.
Roll out the pizza dough on the pan.
Par-bake the dough in the oven for 20 minutes.
When ready, top your pizza with your favorite sauce and toppings.
Bake for another 20 minutes and enjoy!

If you're wondering where to get cassava flour, you can probably find it at a whole foods store or amazon. Click on the picture below to purchase it.
Cassava flour is high in vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant to help relieve stress, support your immune system and can contribute to skin health.
I would have to say cassava flour is officially my pantry staple now. I've completely replaced wheat flour with this! You may want to do the same!
