Gluten Free & Low Carb Pasta

Updated: Jan 1, 2022

The new year is approaching and I'm looking in to making some low carb and gluten free meals! If you want to loose weight and just eat healthier try out these recipes!

This gluten free pasta has wonderful flavor and the closest consistency to real pasta.

It only has 6g net carbs in the whole recipe. It would be great for spaghetti, Alfredo, pesto, and much more!

Plus, it doesn't take long to boil from fresh pasta. Only 5 minutes to cook! Or you can bag these and save them in the fridge for another time.

Gluten Free & Low Carb Pasta

Dairy Free | Paleo friendly

Ready in 25 minutes

Serves 1-2

Only 6g net carbs per serving

Ingredients

2 tbsp coconut flour

4 eggs

1/4 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp granulated onion

1/4 tsp granulated garlic

1 tbsp psyllium husk powder

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F | 1 Parchment lined baking sheet pan

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the coconut flour, sea salt, granulated onion, granulated garlic, and psyllium husk powder until well blended.

  2. Whisk in the eggs and blend until its smooth and a sticky paste.

  3. Take your parchment paper (or a silpat mat) from your sheet pan and place the pasta dough on to it. With your offset spatula or a regular spatula, smooth out the paste as thin as you can get it.

  4. Carefully transfer the dough that is already on the parchment paper to the sheet pan. I just slide the paper back over to the sheet pan.

  5. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes. Don't over bake your pasta.

  6. With a knife or pizza cutter, make thin or wide noodles. The size is your preference. They are now ready to be boiled!

  7. With a medium size pot filled half way with water. Add a couple pinches of sea salt. On high heat, boil your water.

  8. Then toss in your pasta and they will cook in 5 minutes! Don't over mix the pasta. Drain your pasta. Serve with your next Italian dish!

Storage:

You can store your freshly made pasta in zip lock bags and refrigerate up to 4-5 days. You probably could freeze up to 2 months. But they don't take very long to make, you can just make them fresh and store them in the fridge. But it's totally your preference.
