What are the low carb and Keto friendly fruits?
If you're on a low carb diet or Keto diet here are some fruits you could have, but sparingly though. If you eat too much of a good thing it can add up and throw you out of Ketosis or out of your daily carb intake.
You don't have to completely cut yourself off from eating any fruit. See you still can have a piece of fruit if you're on a low carb or Keto diet. Just eat them in moderation. You just don't want to eat a whole bowl of them in one sitting.
1. Berries

Berries such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries! Blueberries have a little higher amount of carbs per cup out of the berries but not too bad considering its a fruit. Plus, they are loaded with antioxidants , potassium, and vitamin C and much more! They make a great snack, but in small quantities.
Blueberries : 1 cup worth is 17 grams Net carbs
Strawberries: 1 cup worth is 9.4 grams Net Carbs
Raspberries: 1 cup worth is 6.6 grams Net carbs
Blackberries: 1 cup worth is 6.2 grams Net Carbs
2. Avocado

Avocados are high in a healthy fat and only have 5.2 grams of Net carbs in 1 cup of avocado. Which is pretty darn low in carbohydrates. They make a great low carb snack and they fill you up because of the high fat content. Plus, they have a about 6.4 g of dietary fiber per serving. Add them to any dish from omelettes to an hamburger.
3. Tomatoes

Tomatoes are great in salads, Italian foods, and salsa! But they are also low carb and Keto friendly. With only 4.8 grams of Net carbs in 1 cup of tomatoes. Which is not too bad. Plus, they are full of antioxidant like lycopene, which has been linked to many health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and cancer. Full of vitamin C, folate, potassium, and vitamin K.
4. Rhubarb

Rhubarb is a tart fruit. Which isn't hard to understand why they are low in carbs and sugar. They have a Net carb of 3.4 grams in 1 cup of rhubarb. They are great in cobblers, pies, and crisp. They are full of potassium, Vitamin C, A, and calcium. Plus, remember don't eat the leaves of a rhubarb they are considered to be toxic if consumed.
5. Cantaloupe

Cantaloupe are great on a hot summer day. I love this melon. Plus, they are low in carbohydrates. There's only 11.6 grams of Net carbs in 1 cup of cantaloupe! Which is great because who doesn't love cantaloupe? It's got a refreshing taste and it adds a sweet taste to a nice summer salad. Full of potassium, vitamin C and A.
6. Watermelon

Watermelon is another great fruit on hot summer day. Its great for BBQ parties and pool parties as well. There's only 10.8 grams of Net carbs in 1 cup! They are chalk full of vitamin A with about 432 IU per serving.
7. Lemons

A fresh slice of lemon in your ice water is just refreshing. Plus, they are low in carbs as well. One wedge of lemon is about 0.5 grams Net carb. Full of antioxidants and vitamin C. So go ahead add some lemon slices in your water.
8. Star Fruit

This is a low carb fruit. Not a fruit everyone thinks of when they go to the grocery store. But it has a nice and sweet flavor to it. For a cups worth, it's only 5.2 grams of Net carbs. It's low in calories and full of potassium and vitamin C.
